It was the twilight rising for another night.
I knew I have been sarcastic,
But how would darkness be this bright?
The night chases me down,
Calls me for a while.
Then, it leaves us alone,
No more than some kind of friends.
While we are actually in a scary silence,
You’re talking about your dreams.
Why is it so hard to stand up to your friend
If you know she’s going away to a daily life hell?
Twilight lends me wings,
I recline upon it to rest,
I’m not fed up to be honest,
But someone tell me:
To be happy or right?

Happy Valentine’s Day to All!

When I woke up, I knew this was going to be a great day. Because hearts, kisses, hugs and reddish pillows seemed to have pricelessly nicked the urban soul of my city. I walked down to put some more tones of pink in my mind. The clouds were almost all gone, as if they were mocking me, and the brightly awesome sky made me wait for a while to watch, so I sat down on a wooden bank. I had never liked Valentine’s Day. The lovers around going in and out the cinema talking about the romantic movie they had just seen simply got on my nerves. Nope, not really. I can’t say I had never liked Valentine’s Day.

Just in a moment, my heart was filled with love to even these, and I ordered some ice cream -strawberry and chocolate- and murmured to myself… “Happy Valentine’s Day!”

Händel-Sonata in D Minor

I see the wind gallop by me,

I grab it

To shelter it on a canvas.

I carry some doubts with me

In case I end up loving too much.

But you just think you don’t have enough courage

To pass through the shadow

In front of me,

Now I’m writing these to you

To let you know

It’s just the fog in your mind.

Sometimes I find myself

Considering the worst,

Nobody else knows I’m making myself

Believe it’s just not the worst possible.

Pessimistic “dreams” aloud,

Yelling and crying women around,

Deeper and deeper wounds,

Closing your ears to cries.

Tell me,

Do you feel safe enough?

Don’t suppose I’m just sitting in dark,

Because we all need time to decide.

It’s sometimes

When you take a lonely path up,

When you give silence up,

When you break up.

Remember,

The sunflowers turn to the light

When the sun goes up.

You kept on whispering,

You were simply judging

Who you don’t know at all.

You imagined you could

Deafen me by your biting noises,

You said you could

Defend yourself on white horses:

You should’ve had your soul as your shield,

You should’ve taken your mind as your sword.

Pardon me

If I have been strong,

If I have put you far away,

If I haven’t called you for help,

If I have taken the hardest way.

I just had to learn to stand with you in your way

With my own spirit

Pretending to be hidden in my eyes.

Tho’ you should’ve been told:

Every rose has its thorn.
